Growing Cannabis Seeds - The Basics
Use a coco mix for seedlings. Fill a well drained potting container ⅞ full and wet fully, allowing time for excess water to drain. Make a ½ inch deep hole and place in the seed and lightly cover the seed with soil. Place your pot with the seedling in a humidity dome. If you don’t have access to one you can use a plastic sandwich bag and place that over the top of your small pot, this will work just fine.
Coco based mixes are good because pests don’t like it.
Any local organic mix that drains well is a good outside soil.
It is best to do several transplants over a plant's life cycle. We suggest using small solo cups at first, then switching them over to 1 gallon pots and then to 3 gallon pots. Your final transplant will be to a 5 gallon pot or larger depending on the climate.
The short answer is yes. Since seeds have no THC value of their own the seed itself is legal in all 50 states and in almost every country. But the growing of the seed is another issue altogether, so be sure to check with your local regulation laws.
Flower is when the plant develops the buds we harvest, dry and cure.
Super cropping is when we drastically bend the main stalk over allowing all bud sites to get maximum sunlight.
This is also known as “Fuck I Missed” (F.I.M). This was discovered when someone meant to top the plant, but didn’t get all the new growth. Sometimes causing the one main cola to become 2, 3, or even 4 tops.
Topping a plant is when we remove the top newest growth forcing the lower branches to reach up to get more direct light.
Plants need a range of light when growing indoors. A seedling only needs very little light, a fluorescent light is sufficient. 96 watts is good for a 2x2 space. In veg a plant requires more light, CMH or LED are good options. Many companies have several to choose from.
Compost teas and organic mixtures are the best to use outdoors. Salt based mixers can be tricky using outdoors.
Flower time ranges from 75 to 105 days.
Veg time is up to the grower, from as little as 0 veg time to several months/
Low Stress Training (L.S.T) is most commonly done when a plant is woven in and out of a net with 4 inch x 4 inch holes opening up the center of the plant to more direct light.
